Role Overview |
As an Associate Account Manager, you will hone your skills in communication and management to retain existing clients and key customers. Your main responsibility will be to manage the client’s expectations, overseeing the process of delivery, and ensuring that the client’s needs are met in a timely fashion. Your role involves building a deep understanding of the scope of the various account type namely Software Subscription, Bulk Messaging, Customised software services, Business Intelligence & Insights, and Professional Services and working with all team members to support and ensure work done is completed in a timely manner and on the agreed project deliverables and/or work plan. You will contribute to building a team that creates strategic, lasting relationships with our key clients from successful launches to the identification of new use cases, and ongoing strategic support that increases satisfaction and maximises the Farmerline experience and ultimately drives revenue retention and growth. You will be evaluated based on the feedback from team members and the successful completion of all clients account assigned tasks and KPIs. |
Responsibilities |
Business Development and Prospecting - Develop slide decks, hold presentations, and present marketing materials to update stakeholders and partners on a project's status of an account.
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders (Local agribusinesses, Global Traders and Manufactures, Cooperative, NGOs, Government institutions) and ensure smooth and clear communication on project status to all relevant parties involved.
- Create visibility on client accounts and establish relevant case studies for marketing and branding purposes.
- Support customer acquisition efforts by assessing information and resource requirements during the proposal, customer evaluation, and supplier selection stages to ensure that Farmerline achieves the best position as a service provider for a given client.
Project Management - Ensure all accounts activities are met and project deliverables are implemented in a timely and efficient manner taking into account budget development and monitoring (this will constitute 80% of your weekly time allocation).
- Suggest and contribute to continuous improvement in SOPs and workflow procedures and take responsibility in ensuring they are implemented to the latter.
- Train team members on Products/ Services, support the development of user guides/ manuals, videos on Mergdata features and provide supervision on client account management and track quality assurance statistics.
- Ensure preparation and execution of work plans, following contracts and other relevant legal documents.
Client Services
- Continuously assess client needs and business objectives as the project progresses to develop initiatives for increasing customer satisfaction and retention.
- Forge stronger professional relationships with customers, increasing their loyalty, and building trust.
- Work closely with the Unit Head, Design and Engineering team to manage customer feedback and create a scalable process to manage and prioritize partner requests.
- Work with the Farmer Services team and Head of Unit to ensure smooth implementation of an exit strategy for transitioning project accounts that require that Farmerline sustains initiatives

Required Qualifications |
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in an appropriate field of study
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- 3+ years experience in managing, or assisting in managing, short- or long-term field projects
- Excellent project management and coordination skills; ability to designate success metrics, strategies to achieve metrics, and ability to motivate team members to participate enthusiastically
- Excellent writing and presentation skills; especially budget and report writing
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Strategic flexibility and cross-cultural sensitivity, particularly when under pressure
- Time management and problem-solving skills
