Role Overview

As Content and Digital Manager, your responsibility will be to oversee, manage and monitor Farmerline’s entire digital footprint. From maintaining our website and email campaigns, to developing and implementing the company’s social media strategy - your role will be to drive and uphold an excellent standard across all online activities. In addition, you’ll devise and deliver bespoke, high quality and engaging content for timely campaigns across all media and marketing channels, and work closely with all units in the organisation to help drive business success through compelling communications. 

Responsibilities 

1. Plan, implement and manage our Social Media strategy and presence across all digital channels to drive brand awareness, improve our marketing efforts and increase sales. 

 

2. Manage and promote the company website, including improving its functionality and developing a blogging strategy, to drive leads. Evaluate and manage website performance. 

 

3. Create regular, engaging content that documents the company’s work, and aligns with our objective to provide farmers with quality inputs, education and access to markets.

 

4. Plan and publish strategic, monthly newsletters to be distributed to the company’s client and network database. 

 

5. Respond to social media followers, and grow our platforms with a quality and targeted audience  

 

6. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, analyse metrics, and assess against goals (KPIs)

 

7. Stay up to date with latest digital trends and best practices, and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

 

8. Work with in-house creatives and designers to ensure content is informative and engaging

 

9. Collaborate with internal teams and consultants from time-to-time to create landing pages/ebooks/white papers and optimise user experience

 

Required Qualifications

  • High level education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
  • Proven work experience in content and digital management
  • Excellent English and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and copy editing skills
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, web management and SEO
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good at working to tight deadlines
  • Great ability to use your initiative
